To provide budgeting functionality, we use Plaid, a third-party service, to access your financial account information. Through Plaid, we collect the following information:

  • Account data (e.g., account names, types, and balances)

  • Institution data (e.g., Institution name)

1.2 Information You Provide Directly
When you use our App, we may collect the following information:

  • Name: When creating an account or logging in via social media.

  • Email Address: Used for account creation, communication, and support.

  • Profile Picture: You may optionally upload a profile picture for display in the App. If you log in using a social media account, we may collect your profile picture from that account for personalization purposes within the App. This picture is used solely within the App and is not shared with third parties unless explicitly stated.

1.3 Partner Invitations
Our App allows you to invite a partner to share your budgeting experience. With your explicit consent, your partner can access your financial data as provided by Plaid.

1.4 Information from Social Media Logins
If you log in using a social media account (e.g., Google or Apple), we only collect information necessary for authentication, such as your name and email address. Additionally, we may collect your profile picture for personalization purposes within the App. This profile picture is optional and used solely for enhancing your experience with you and your partner.

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the App’s features.

  • To facilitate partner sharing, with your explicit permission.

  • To display personalization features, such as your profile picture.

6. Your Choices

  • Access and Update: You can access and update your account information, including your profile picture, through the App.

  • Partner Sharing: You control whether to share financial data with a partner and can revoke this access at any time.

  • Data Deletion: You can delete your data in its entirety at any time via the app or by emailing support@halfsiesbudgeting.com
